The Hügli Holding Aktiengesellschaft , based in the St. Gallen Steinach is an internationally active Swiss companies in the development, production and marketing of food products, including dry blends such as soups , sauces , bouillons , ready meals and desserts , liquid products such as tomato sauces and salad dressings , Spreads and meat alternatives. The company is listed on the Swiss stock exchange since 1986 SIX Swiss Exchange listed .

The Hügli Group comprises four divisions. The Consumer Brands division sells soups, bouillons, sauces, meat substitutes, dairy products, fruit and vegetable juices, cereals and spreads in Europe under Hügli's own brands . In the Customer Solutions division , the company manufactures products for various retail companies under their respective brands. The Food Service business unit focuses on the customer segments restaurants , hotels , canteens, hospitals, home furnishings and similar large-scale consumers. The Food Ingredients division produces semi-finished products for the food industry .

The production sites are located at the headquarters in Steinach and in St. Gallen (Switzerland), in Radolfzell on Lake Constance , Ulm and Neuburg an der Kammel (Germany), in Redditch (United Kingdom), in Brivio (Italy), in La Vall d ' Uixo (Spain) and in Zásmuky (Czech Republic).

At the end of 2016, the main shareholder with 50.5% of the share capital and 65.2% of the voting rights was the Stoffel family through Dr. A. Stoffel Holding AG, Arbon.

Alexander Stoffel (1928–2017) was in charge of the company from 1957 to 2004; his grandfather founded the company. In 1959 the first subsidiary was established in Hard near Bregenz in Austria, followed by expansion to Radolfzell in Germany in 1964 and to Eastern Europe in 1999.

On January 15, 2018, the Bell Food Group announced that it had acquired the majority shareholder Dr. A. Stoffel Holding takes over their capital stake of 50.2% with a share of voting rights of 65%. Bell made an offer of CHF 915 per share for the remaining shares. Bell is the preferred owner of the late Alexander Stoffel, who personally accompanied the first discussions with the Basel meat processor . Hügli is managed as an independent corporate unit within Bell.
