history

The first written mention of the village "Rymen" took place in 1322 as part of the Eger imperial pledge. In 1395 eight farmers from Rymen were listed in the Eger city register. Up to 1406 the village was parish together with the Klausenhof and the Sorghof to Markhausen , after that it belonged to the newly established parish of Liebenstein . In 1496 the robber barons of Jorg murdered Zedtwitz at Castle Liebenstein on the ordeal ( U Božích muk ) at Ryemen his Haslauer judge nickel Rogler and was punished with the country's eight.

Between 1828 and 1834 there was a separate village school in Riehm, which then taught as a hiking school in Riehm and Tobiessenreuth . However, since the school lacked the support of the local authorities of both villages, teaching was discontinued in 1847; the children went to school in Liebenstein. Until the middle of the 19th century, the village remained subject to the Lords of Zedtwitz at Liebenstein Castle.

After the abolition of patrimonial rulers, from 1850 onwards, Riem was part of the municipality of Eichelberg in the district and judicial district of Eger . In 1874 a new school for the Tobiessenreuth and Riehmer children was opened in Riehm. After the Munich Agreement , the village was added to the German Reich in 1938 and belonged to the district of Eger until 1945 . After the end of World War II , the village came back to Czechoslovakia and was given the name Hůrka. After the municipality of Dubina was abolished, Hůrka was incorporated into Libá in 1950. In 1991 the district had 87 inhabitants; at the 2001 census, 103 people lived in the 31 houses in Hůrka.
