The HTC Sensation is a smartphone from the manufacturer HTC Corporation with a 1.5 gigahertz dual-core processor ( clocked at 1.2 gigahertz). The screen diagonal is 4.3 inches (~ 10.92 cm) with a screen resolution of 960 × 540 pixels and a pixel density of 256 ppi . The operating system is Android and the user interface is HTC Sense 3.6. The Sensation has an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and double LED lights, which can also be used to record videos in HD quality (1920 × 1080p). A front camera on the front of the HTC Sensation enables video telephony in VGA resolution.
Test results and updates
The Sensation mobile phone was tested for the first time on April 27, 2011 with Android version 2.3.2.
The market launch at Vodafone took place in mid-May 2011 . It has been available without branding since June 30, 2011 . Since March 2012, HTC has been delivering a firmware update to Android 4 ("Ice Cream Sandwich").
Sensation XE
On September 15, 2011, HTC introduced the Sensation XE with Beats Audio technology, which should provide better sound quality. Appropriate in-ear headphones from Beats Audio are included. HTC increased the available processor clock rate (dual core) from 1.2 to 1.5 GHz in the Sensation XE; the battery was also 1730 mAh; improved compared to 1520 mAh. Technically, nothing else has been changed, only the color of the design. The HTC Sensation XE has been available since October 2011. The Sensation XE also has a different internal memory and weight.
Sensation XL
On October 6, 2011, HTC introduced another smartphone with Beats Audio Technology . The Sensation XL is powered by a 1.5 GHz single-core processor instead of dual-core, the 1600 mAh battery is a little weaker than the Sensation XE. The screen diagonal of 4.7 inches has become larger, but only has a WVGA resolution (800 × 480 pixels), which is less than the Sensation or Sensation XE, which means that the pixel density deteriorates considerably. The Sensation XL has been available since October 2011.
