society

From 2005 to 2008 he played for Racing Strasbourg . For the 2008/2009 season, Bellaïd moved after the relegation of his team for a transfer fee of 2.5 million euros to the German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt , where he received a contract until 2012 and should replace the defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos . After he had made 22 appearances in the Bundesliga under the coach Friedhelm Funkel despite rather moderate performance, he was no longer used under Funkel's successor Michael Skibbe at the beginning of the 2009/2010 season.

On September 1, 2009 Habib Bellaïd was initially loaned back to Racing Strasbourg. There he convinced and drew attention to himself in Ligue 2 . Therefore, he moved in January 2010 to the then first division US Boulogne on loan until the end of the season . With the club from Boulogne-sur-Mer, he was relegated from Ligue 1. Eintracht Frankfurt awarded it again on August 31, 2010, this time for a year to the French second division club Sportif Sedan Ardennes (CS Sedan).

After the loan contract ended on June 30, 2011, Bellaïd returned to Frankfurt Eintracht, who had just been relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga, but played no role in the first team under coach Armin Veh : There he was only substituted once. At the beginning of the 2012/2013 season and after his contract had expired, he signed with CS Sedan.

After CS Sedan's forced relegation to CFA 2 (Group B) at the end of the 2012/2013 season, Bellaïd moved to the Algerian first division club MC Alger in summer 2013 , which was coached by the Swiss Alain Geiger .

in the season 2014/2015 Bellaïd played with the shirt number 4 for the CS Sfaxien in the first division of Tunisia, the National A . After positions at Royal White Star Brussels , Sarpsborg 08 FF and AC Amiens , he has been under contract with the French fourth division club CS Sedan since 2018 .

National team

Bellaïd played 16 times for France's U-21s . With this he also played in the qualification for the U-21 European Football Championship in 2009 . However, they failed in the play-offs due to Germany's U-21 selection . After a 1: 1 in the first leg in Magdeburg, they failed in the second leg in the last minute with 0: 1. In 2010 he decided to play for Algeria in the future and also took part in the 2010 World Cup.
