Hahnhof is a district of the market in Feucht in the Middle Franconian district of Nürnberger Land in Bavaria .

Geographical location

The hamlet is located on the Gauchsbach in the Nuremberg Reichswald about 3.5 kilometers east of Feucht on the state road St 2239 to Altdorf . A gravel forest road leads from the road to the property. The first building on the right used to be a rest home and is now, like all other buildings, privately owned. There is an opportunity to turn around before a bridge crosses the Gauchsbach immediately afterwards. The gravel path continues to Hahnhof's two other properties, a former blacksmith's shop with outbuildings and, on the hill behind, a large three-sided farm. Neighboring towns clockwise are Moosbach , Weiherhaus , Mauschelhof and Feucht.

history

Hahnhof was repeatedly hit by floods of the Gauchsbach and sometimes badly damaged. The former forge and hammer mill in the center of the village was built in its present form in the 17th century. The impressive sandstone cuboid building with half-timbering, the associated dwelling, also half-timbered, 18th century, and the large barn, half-timbered with pitched roof, 18th / 19th century. Century, are under monument protection . At the end of the 1980s, the buildings were extensively renovated and since 1991 have housed a. a. a spacious artist studio. Until 1988 there was a Hahnhof stop on the Feucht – Altdorf railway line . When the route to the S-Bahn was redesigned, it was dropped and replaced by the new Feucht-Moosbach stop.

With the community edict (1808) Hahnhof belonged to the politically independent community Moosbach . On April 1, 1971, these were under the Bavarian regional reform by wet incorporated.
