Halsa was a municipality in the Norwegian province ( Fylke ) Møre og Romsdal . The administrative seat of the municipality was Liabø. As part of the municipal reform in Norway , Halsa and the municipality of Hemne, which belongs to Fylke Trøndelag , and the south-western part of Snillfjord , also in Trøndelag, merged into home on January 1, 2020 , so that the area of ​​Halsa changed county .

Halsa became famous for the whale Keiko , who went there after his release.
