Hamburg Christmas Market
The Hamburg Christmas market consists of several merging Christmas markets with different offers in downtown Hamburg between Spitalerstraße and Gänsemarkt. There are also other Christmas markets outside of the narrower inner city area.
Christmas markets downtown
From Hamburg Central Station in a westerly direction there are Christmas markets in the inner city area in the following streets / squares. The U- / S- / Fernbahn Hauptbahnhof is at the beginning of the route. At the end there is the Gänsemarkt underground station .
- Spitalerstraße : In the street there are sturdy wooden stalls lined up with individual handicrafts. At the confluence of Spitalerstraße and Mönckebergstraße there is a taller Christmas pyramid.
- Gerhart-Hauptmann-Platz / Mönckebergbrunnen: With its wooden stalls, this market imitates the atmosphere of a winter forest. Handicrafts, snacks and merchandise are on offer.
- Around the St. Petri Church : The wooden stalls frame themselves around the church with handicrafts and pastries. In addition to the traditional offer, there is a fairy tale forest for children.
- Rathausmarkt : The wooden houses are grouped in themed streets.
- Jungfernstieg : Goods and snacks are offered here in white Feldherrn tents that stand out from the traditional Christmas offers. Baking, make-up, games and theater are offered for the children on “fairytale ships”.
- Gänsemarkt : Here the snack offer predominates. The booths are spaciously arranged.

- Barmbek: small Christmas market on the piazzetta near the Barmbek train station
- Bergedorf: Christmas market at Bergedorf Castle
- Blankenese: mulled wine and food on Erik-Blumenfeld-Platz in front of the Blankenese S-Bahn station
- Eimsbüttel: two Christmas markets on Osterstrasse and the Apostle Church
- Eppendorf : small Christmas market in the shopping street
- HafenCity : Christmas market with ice rink on Überseeboulevard
- Harburg: Family Christmas market at the historic town hall
- Neustadt: Christmas stalls with a maritime atmosphere on the Fleetinsel
- Niendorf : Nordic Christmas market on the Tibarg
- Ottensen : Nordic stalls along the Mercado shopping center
- Wandsbek: Alpine-style Christmas market with ice rink on the Wandsbek market
Christmas markets of the churches
- Ditmar-Koel-Straße: Only in the run-up to Christmas on a few days Christmas bazaar in the Nordic seaman's churches .
- In and around St. Michaeliskirche : only on the first weekend in Advent.
Less traditional Christmas markets
- Long row / Kirchenallee: This very small, lesbian-gay Christmas market “WinterPride” with trendy music under the motto “pink-red” is located near the main train station in St. Georg .
- Reeperbahn : Christmas is interpreted in a cheeky and frivolous way on Spielbudenplatz.
