Alfred Pönisch

Alfred Karl Emil Pönisch (born May 11, 1902 in Strasbourg in Alsace , † May 17, 1981 in Mühlheim am Main ) was a German administrative lawyer and district administrator .

Life

Alfred Pönisch, the son of a railway inspector, attended the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium Trier and graduated from the Goethe-Gymnasium Frankfurt am Main in 1923 . In the spring and autumn of 1924 he underwent military training with the Black Reichswehr , an illegal paramilitary formation, in Giessen and Hanover . From 1923 he studied law in Frankfurt / Main. On August 14, 1935, he was promoted to Dr. iur. PhD.

In July 1929 he worked as a trainee lawyer at the Higher Regional Court in Frankfurt / Main . On May 31, 1932, he was appointed court assessor . In September 1932 he settled as a lawyer in Windecken in the Hanau district, but was commissioned with the provisional administration of the district office in Biedenkopf on October 1, 1933. On April 5, 1934, he was appointed District Administrator of the Biedenkopf district . After disputes with the NSDAP district leadership in Biedenkopf, he was put into temporary retirement on April 8, 1937. In June 1937 Pönisch became legal advisor to the Wroclaw district government . On November 28, 1938, he was entrusted with the deputy administration of the Wittgenstein LRA, but his entry into service on December 6, 1938 was postponed. For this he became district administrator in Dux district in the Sudetenland in 1939 . From around 1943 to 1945 he was district administrator in the Friedland district .

Alfred Pönisch joined the NSDAP on April 1, 1930 . He was legal advisor to the Gauleitung Hessen-Nassau . In 1933 he was honored as "Old Party Member" of the NSDAP. From June 1933 to January 1936 he was a member of the SA , most recently a senior squad leader. On July 31, 1938, he became a member of the SS (No. 310 165) of the NSDAP, and on January 30, 1939, he was promoted to SS-Untersturmführer and on April 20, 1941 to SS-Hauptsturmführer . He was a member of the NSKK .
