Hamid Ezzine

Hamid Ezzine (born October 5, 1983 ) is a Moroccan obstacle and long-distance runner .

In 2004 he finished 30th at the World Cross Country Championships in Brussels on the short distance and was fourth over 3000 m obstacle at the African Athletics Championships in Brazzaville .

In the following year, a 41st place on the short distance at the Cross Country World Championships 2005 in Saint-Galmier over 3000 m obstacle, a preliminary round at the World Athletics Championships in Helsinki and a victory at the Francophonie Games .

In 2006 he contributed to the bronze medal won by the Moroccan team at the Cross Country World Championships in Fukuoka with a 21st place on the short distance. At the African Championships in Bambous , he was fifth over 3000 m obstacle.

In 2007 he did not finish over 3000 m obstacle in the run-up to the World Championships in Osaka and was eleventh at the World Athletics Finals .

At the 2008 Olympic Games , he did not get past the first round in the same discipline.

In 2009 he evaded a doping test and was banned for two years for this violation of the doping regulations .

In 2011 he finished ninth at the World Championships in Daegu and in 2012 seventh at the Olympic Games in London . In 2013 he won bronze at the Mediterranean Games , finished ninth at the World Cup in Moscow and won the Francophonie Games.

In 2014 he was sixth at the African Championships in Marrakech and in 2015 eleventh at the World Cup in Beijing .

His brother Ali Ezzine was also successful as an obstacle runner.
