The Hammersbach is a left tributary of the Krebsbach in the Büdingen-Meerholzer hill country in Hesse .

The Hammerbach rises at an altitude of about 180 m above sea level. NN east of Langen-Bergheim a small pond and runs in a south-westerly direction.
It then crosses under the federal motorway 45 and finally flows into the south-eastern outskirts of the Hammersbach district of Marköbel at an altitude of about 120 m above sea level. NN as a left tributary into the Krebsbach . The municipality of Hammersbach is named after him

The catchment area of the Hammerbach lies in the Büdingen-Meerholzer hill country and is drained to the North Sea via the Krebsbach, Fallbach , Kinzig , Main and Rhine rivers.
