Han Peng ( Chinese  韓鵬 , Pinyin Hán Péng ; born September 13, 1983 in Jinan ) is a Chinese former football player who was last under contract with the Chinese second division team Beijing Renhe .

Career

society

Peng began his professional career with Shandong Luneng Taishan, from whose youth he came. He played his first league game on March 10, 2002 against Sichuan Guancheng . He scored his first professional goal on March 23, 2002 against Chongqing Lifan . Together with his strike partner Li Jinyu , he formed a dangerous storm duo and he scored seven goals in 2005. The following season, Peng scored ten goals and helped Luneng win the championship and the Chinese FA Cup . In the next season he increased his hit rate again with 13 goals scored, but this time his club remained without a title. The 2008 season was unfortunate for Peng, as he was out most of the season due to injury. In 2012 he sat on the bench for most of the season. After spending his entire career with Shandong Luneng Taishan, he moved to Beijing Renhe in the Chinese second division in 2016 , where he narrowly missed promotion to the Chinese Super League at the end of the season as fourth .

National team

Peng made his debut for the national team on June 3, 2006 in a friendly against Switzerland , which China lost 4-1. At the 2007 Asian football championship he was an important part of the team, and he also scored his first goal in the national team's jersey against Iraq on November 15, 2006 in a 1-1 draw. During the tournament, Peng often acted as the sole striker. Despite his two goals scored, Peng was unable to make up for the disastrous performance at the Asia Cup for China and was eliminated in the preliminary round.

To qualify for the 2010 World Cup , Peng was appointed to the squad by new coach Vladimir Petrović and described him as currently China's best striker. However, Peng remained without a goal during the entire qualification and the qualification was missed.
