Hannes Auer

Hannes Auer (born March 21, 1982 in Leoben , Styria ) is an Austrian radio and television journalist for ORF . He has been the presenter of Burgenland today since 2017 .

life and career

Hannes Auer studied political science and economics at the University of Vienna , the WU Vienna , the University of Milan-Bicocca and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign . He has a doctorate in political science with a research focus on neoliberalism . His doctoral supervisor is Gerhard Steger . Hannes Auer has been with ORF since 2013 .

Before the regional studio Burgenland he worked for the journals in the Ö1 domestic policy newsroom. Before that, Hannes Auer was an employee of the budget section in the Federal Ministry of Finance and editor-in-chief of a Styrian monthly magazine. As a print journalist, he has also published articles in Der Standard , Kurier , profil and Die Zeit .
