Hanns-Jörn Weber

Hanns-Jörn Weber (born December 16, 1941 in Bromberg ) is a German stage and television actor . In addition to his long-standing engagement at the Dresden State Theater , he had supporting roles in television productions, for example in some episodes of the series Polizeiruf 110 and Tatort . He also works as a radio play speaker.

Life

Weber passed the stage entrance  examination in 1963 after dropping out of his studies at the Babelsberg Film Academy and then taking private acting lessons and had been stage engagements since 1961, initially at the Harz Mountain Theater and until 1963 at the Quedlinburg Municipal Theaters . This was followed by engagements at the Mecklenburg State Theater in Schwerin (1963–1967) and at the stages of the city of Magdeburg (1967–1970), until he received an engagement at the Dresden State Theater from 1970, where he was part of the ensemble until 2007. Since then he has had a guest engagement in Dresden.

On stage, Weber embodied the characters of the Templar in Nathan the Wise , the President of Walter in Cabal and Love,  and Peachum in the Threepenny Opera, among many other roles . As a television actor, Weber was represented with guest roles in productions such as Sachsens Glanz and Preussens Gloria (1983/1984).
