occupation

On the side is a television film from the crime series Tatort by ARD , ORF and SRF . The film was produced by MDR and first broadcast on November 28, 2004. It is the crime scene episode 581. For detective chief Bruno Ehrlicher ( Peter Sodann ) and his colleague Kain ( Bernd Michael Lade ) it is the 15th case in which they investigate in Leipzig .

action

"Leipzig's guarantee for success in sport: HARTMUT UTZ". It is emblazoned on the video wall of the central stadium , which is to be reopened in two days. In the stadium's catacombs, Utz and a woman are carrying Utz heavily on a carpet, while there is hectic activity in the stadium.

Chief Inspector Ehrlicher, who is on his way to Paris with Frederike, is almost run over by two men who are picking up a French delegation from the airport and apologizing to Mr. Utz. During the security check, Ehrlicher was ordered back by the police chief because Susanne Fellner, the sports forum's personnel manager, was found dead at the east gate of the stadium. The commissioners find textile fibers on the outside of the gate and the missing shoe of the victim in the catacombs. During the investigation, the police encounter dissatisfied workers. The young HR manager had made herself unpopular because she was only interested in her own career. She recently dismissed the employee Ralf Rogge without notice. Anna Fellner, the sister of the murdered woman, has already been informed personally about the manslaughter by Hartmut Utz. She confirms that Ralf Rogge threatened Susanne. The convicted ex-boxer had renovated Anna's dance studio, then couldn't agree on the price with Susanne and “freaked out”.

Meanwhile, the "devil guy" Hartmut Utz lets himself be celebrated by the French delegation, which unearthed tape recordings from his active time. The two commissioners appear at this moment and, in the presence of the police chief, ask him why he did not drive to the airport with Mrs. Fellner. His wife Hannelore only gives a vague explanation.

That same night, Ralf Rogge demolished the Fellner dance studio. Anna calls the police for help, but Rogge overpowers the patrol officers and threatens Anna physically. After Cain also arrives, he succeeds in incapacitating the attacker. Rogge confirms the row with Susanne, but asserts his innocence in her murder. Anna Fellner remembers that her sister recently had a locker in the dance studio. Cain finds a bill in it, which Susanne apparently had hidden there. The invoice, made out to Pegasus Sportswear , leads to a warehouse belonging to the former professional soccer player Dirk Jammers, who behaves in a highly suspicious manner and at the same time contacts Jost Meckel, the stadium's marketing manager. It quickly turns out that Hannelore Utz is behind the business and that she had secured lucrative contracts from the stadium through this company. In order to clarify the suspicion of these illegal transactions, the commissioners go to the stadium. The freshly cleaned carpet in the office of the stadium manager Utz caught the interest of Kain and Walter. Confronted with the detectable traces of blood on the carpet, Hartmut Utz buckles and describes what happened that night. He found his wife kneeling next to Fellner's corpse in the office and then took her away with her. Everything seems to have been committed by Hannelore Utz. However, she relieved the murder weapon, as both had previously assumed that the fatal blow was carried out with one of the trophies in the office, which the KTU cannot confirm.

As Ehrlicher found out, Susanne Fellner had canceled the honor of groundskeeper Georg Bracht, which was planned for the stadium inauguration, for his 40th service anniversary. Bracht was looking forward to this event, to be cheered in front of so many people. As if that weren't enough, Fellner wanted him to be released as well. His son Daniel, who had made it to engineer and technical director of the stadium, was proud of his father and wanted to spare him this humiliation. When he found out about Fellner's planned harassment, he hit her with his large metal flashlight.

criticism

The critics of the TV magazine TV Spielfilm gave this crime scene a medium rating and wrote: "The only surprise: the 'Derrick' assistant and the 'Das Duo' commissioner on the other side of the law." The overall conclusion they drew: "Unfortunately, the story is only zero-to-zero".
