False Alibi is a television film from the crime series Tatort by ARD , ORF and SRF . The film was produced by MDR under the direction of Bernd Böhlich and was first broadcast on June 18, 1995. It is the crime scene episode 312. For detective chief Bruno Ehrlicher and his colleague Kain it is the 8th case in which they investigate from Dresden .

action

Steffen Kemper's body is found in a parking lot in Freiberg . Kemper was a well-known car cracker and was brutally shot. This time Ehrlicher and Kain investigate with their assistant Anka. Unexpectedly, Ehrlicher's son Tommi comes under suspicion because he owns the car that was seen by witnesses on the night of the murder. Afraid of being dragged into the case, his girlfriend Anett gives him a false alibi.

Ehrlicher suspects a guerrilla war among the car crackers due to the brutality and sends Kain to the Kemper family in the hope of finding out something about friends and enemies of the victim. He can locate the “car wash” where Kemper had injected the stolen car. He comes dangerously close to two suspects who are fleeing from him in a panic. In doing so, they lose their weapon, which Cain gives to the KTU and which turns out to be the murder weapon.

By chance, Ehrlicher and Kain, the alleged protection racketeer Tetziak, go online. During the interrogation it turns out that Kemper had also been active in the protection money business for some time. Since Tommi's bar obviously falls into Kemper's "Revier", Ehrlicher speaks to his son again. He admits that he had met with Kemper that evening to buy the car from him, but he had nothing to do with the murder. The inspector himself wants to speak to Kemp's mother again, because she should know the people her son had to do with. But she is silent for fear for her second son. When he disappears the next day, Ehrlicher is sure that he must have watched the murder and is therefore in hiding. He can find it and hides it with his wife Lore.

Tommie Ehrlicher admits to his father that he got into debt with his new bar and got involved in dubious business. However, Kemper usually took the money he saved as protection money. Since Tetziak could relieve Tommie, Ehrlicher wants to speak to him, but when they get to his apartment, Tommie is dead. Someone has injected him with an overdose of heroin. Tommie now has to be in custody because there are too many indications against him. So his father goes on the offensive. For him it is clear that someone wants to switch off his son in order to get to the pub, which is in a very favorable location from a gastronomic point of view. It is clear to him that only the well-known Dresden entrepreneur Jenninger can be behind it. He sets a trap for him and only tells him that Chris Kemper is hiding with his wife. The plan works and he sends his two helpers to the Ehrlichers' house. There they are already awaited by the police and arrested. They willingly testify about their boss Jenninger, who is then arrested.
