Hans-Bernhard Bolza-Schünemann
Hans-Bernhard Bolza-Schünemann (born May 20, 1926 in Bremen , † July 23, 2010 in Würzburg ) was a German entrepreneur. He was CEO and later a member of the supervisory board of the printing press manufacturer Koenig und Bauer AG.
Life
Bolza-Schünemann was born on May 20, 1926 in Bremen as Hans-Bernhard Schünemann. His family has been in the printing and publishing industry for generations . After the war and a few years in British captivity, he graduated from the Technical University of Braunschweig in 1949 as a graduate - Physicists from. By 1951 he did his doctorate at the Technical University of Stuttgart as Dr.-Ing. Mechanical engineering.
In the same year he started working as a designer at Koenig und Bauer AG. In 1956 he got the position as chief designer for sheetfed printing machines , in 1957 he became a deputy member of the board for construction and development and in 1964 a full board member. In 1959, Hans-Bernhard Bolza-Schünemann was adopted by the great-grandson of the company's founder, Hans Bolza, after the early death of his own sons, hence the double name Bolza-Schünemann.
