Hans-Christoph Michel (* 1964 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German actor .

Life

Even before his professional acting training, Hans-Christoph Michel was a member of the ensemble at the “münchner theaterkollektiv” (Theater K) in Munich from 1984 to 1986 . From 1988 to 1992 he completed his acting training at the Schule für Schauspiel Hamburg , which he completed in 1989 with the final exam before the joint examination commission (Hamburg).

Michel had numerous theater engagements, especially in independent theater productions. In 1988 he appeared at the Lower Saxony Chamber Opera as the Italian Bardolo in the operetta Der Zarewitsch . In 1996, together with the director and actress Antje König, he founded the Hamburger Theater-Manufaktur , an independent theater that makes theater for young people and adults at various venues. The Hamburg theater manufactory is a member of the LaFT - State Association of Independent Theaters in Lower Saxony.

Michel performed there in numerous stage roles from 1996 to 2013. His roles at the Hamburger Theater-Manufaktur included Valentín in The Kiss of the Spider Woman , the roles Luká / Tschubukow in the Chekhov one-act plays The Bear and The Proposal and the title role in Macbeth . He also appeared there in various solo pieces, for example in Siberia by Felix Mitterer , in Schischyphusch or Der Kellner meine Unkels (first performance in 1999) and in a solo piece about Michael Kohlhaas (2005). He also took over the narration there in Peter and the Wolf .

Since 2008 Michel has also performed at the Monsun Theater Hamburg , a. a. with the solo piece Der Menschenfeind (premiere: December 2009), in which he, under the direction of Kolja Schallenberg-Spadzinski , played the role of Alceste and all the other characters. With the title role in Reineke Fuchs (director: Antje König) Michel made a guest appearance between 2008 and 2013 a. a. at the Monsun Theater, at the Vaganten stage in Berlin and at the Theater am Rand im Oderbruch .

Michel was also seen in some, mostly smaller, film and television roles. In Heinrich Breloer's film adaptation of the novel Buddenbrooks (2008) he had a day role as a supplier.

In the black and white movie Sleeping Dogs (2010), Michel played the character Piet, a companion from the past of the main male character Jim ( John Kirby ). Michel received good reviews for his performance and was awarded the Best Supporting Role in Film award at the Independent Filmmakers Showcase film festival in Los Angeles . He also received the Golden Reel Award for Sleeping Dogs for outstanding acting in the Feature Film / Drama category at the Nevada International Film Festival.

In the ZDF series Notruf Hafenkante 2011–2012 he was seen as BKA man Rainer Voss in a recurring series role. In Tatort: ​​Mord auf Langeoog (2013) he had a supporting role; he played Arne Schmidbauer, the trainer of the main male character Florian Meinder ( Leonard Carow ). He also had episode roles in the television series Heiter bis tödlich: Murden im Norden (2013; as lawyer Hauke ​​Bender) and Coast Guard (2015, as murder victim Dennis Görsch).

In April 2016, Michel played a supporting role in the ZDF crime series Nord Nord Mord in the film Clüver and the dead cook . He played the bartender in a pub in the red light district.
