Hans-Dieter Striker

Hans-Dieter Stürmer (born October 30, 1950 in Eberbach ; † September 22, 2013 in Waldkirch ) was a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and environmental chemist and activist in various nature and environmental protection associations.

Life and work

Stürmer studied chemistry, physics and economics in Freiburg . He was one of the founders of Aktion Umwelt eV and BUND . In 1987 he founded the Freiburg Institute for Environmental Chemistry, of which he was chairman until his death.

politics

Striker has been active for the Greens since they were founded. In 1980 he stood as a candidate in the constituency Emmendingen first time for the state parliament of Baden-Wuerttemberg , where he from 1984 to 1988 through a second mandate in the constituency Freiburg I belonged. In 1983 he ran for the Bundestag as well as in 1994.

From 1989 to 1994 he was a member of the district council of the Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district , in the 1994 federal election he ran as a direct candidate for Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in the Freiburg constituency , as he lived in Stegen at the time. He was also a member of the association assembly of the Southern Upper Rhine region .
