Hans-Heiner Kühne

Hans-Heiner Kühne (born August 21, 1943 in Nikolaiken ( Mikołajki ) / East Prussia ) is a German legal scholar and criminologist . Until his retirement in 2008 he taught as a professor at the University of Trier . In addition, he regularly lectures at the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA).

Kühne first studied music (majoring in violin ) at the State University of Music in Hanover and at the Berlin Conservatory and then law at the Free University of Berlin and Saarbrücken University , where he received his doctorate in 1969 . In the summer semester 1972 he was assistant professor in Saarbrücken, in the winter semester 1972/1973 guest professor at the Keiō University in Tokyo . Kühne completed his habilitation in 1978 in Saarbrücken, then was a judge at the Saarbrücken regional court for a few months and from 1981 (until retirement ) professor for German, European and international criminal law and criminal procedural law as well as criminology at the University of Trier. Kühne was visiting professor at the University of Westminster in London (1999), the Kültür University of Istanbul (2002) and the Université Robert Schuman in Strasbourg (2006). He was honorary degree doctor honoris causa of the University of Miskolc / Hungary (2007), the Kültür University of Istanbul (2009) and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens awarded (2010).
