Hans-Klaus Jungheinrich

Hans-Klaus Jungheinrich (born February 26, 1938 in Bad Schwalbach ; † December 17, 2018 ) was a German cultural journalist and author with a focus on music .

Life

Hans-Klaus Jungheinrich studied conducting and composition in Darmstadt and Salzburg from 1958 to 1962 . From 1962 he worked as a music journalist and radio author . From 1968 to 2003 he was a feature editor and music critic for the Frankfurter Rundschau . From 2003 he worked as a freelance writer.

Jungheinrich was the organizer of various symposia. He was also the editor of composers' monographs . Jungheinrich wrote several books on the subject of conducting , new music and opera .

In 2011 Jungheinrich received the Goethe badge from the city of Frankfurt am Main . He died unexpectedly in December 2018 at the age of 80.

Hans-Klaus Jungheinrich was buried in the Eppertshausen forest cemetery.
