Hans-Martin Haller (* 11. August 1949 in Tailfingen ) is a German politician of the SPD and was 2001-2016 member of the state parliament of Baden-Wuerttemberg .

education and profession

After graduating from high school in 1969, Hans-Martin Haller, born in Tailfingen as the son of a master baker, studied history, geography, law and political science at the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg and at the Sorbonne in Paris. Parallel to his studies, he completed an apprenticeship in the bakery trade, which he completed in 1972 with the journeyman's examination. He passed his master's examination in 1978. He worked as a teacher at the grammar school in Albstadt - Ebingen until 1991, and in 1999 he resumed this activity.

Political activity

Hans-Martin Haller has been a member of the SPD since 1972. From 1980 to 1991 he was a city councilor in Albstadt . Since 1989 he has been a district councilor of the Zollernalb district , and since 1999 chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in the district council. From 1991 to 1999 he was Lord Mayor of Albstadt. He has been a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament since April 18, 2001, the beginning of the 13th electoral term. For the 13th, 14th and 15th electoral terms he was elected to the state parliament through a second mandate from the constituency of Balingen . He did not run for the 2016 state elections .

Family and private

Hans-Martin Haller is Protestant. He lives in Albstadt- Tailfingen , is married and has two grown children.
