Hans-Martin Schönherr-Mann

Hans-Martin Schönherr-Mann (born May 23, 1952 in Esslingen am Neckar ) is a German philosopher . He is professor of political philosophy at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and lecturer at the Munich School of Politics .

Life

Schönherr-Mann studied philosophy, literature and modern history at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and at the Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen-Nuremberg . He did his doctorate in 1982 with Manfred Riedel and Herbert Ganslandt . He was a research assistant at the Geschwister-Scholl-Institut of the University of Munich under Peter Cornelius Mayer-Tasch and completed his habilitation in 1995. Since 2002 he has been an adjunct professor for political philosophy at the Geschwister-Scholl-Institut of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. He held substitute and visiting professorships at the universities of Innsbruck , Passau , Regensburg , Eichstätt-Ingolstadt , Turin and Venice .

Research focus

His research interests include the philosophy of the 20th century, especially French philosophy, existentialism and deconstruction , the philosophy of the 19th century and the philosophy of German idealism . He is interested in practical philosophy, the philosophy of education, political philosophy and the philosophy of technology .
