Hans Block (* 1985 in Berlin ) is a German theater and film director , musician , and radio play writer and director .

Block initially studied music with a focus on drums at the Berlin University of the Arts and from 2010 began studying film with a focus on directing at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . Also in 2015 Block became a member of the artist collective Compagnie Laokoon, together with the Laocoon member Moritz Riesewieck , Block realized the full-length documentary The Cleaners - Im Schatten der Netzwelt . The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in early 2018 and was released in German cinemas in May 2018.
