Hans Eggert (born January 6, 1946 in Zschachwitz , now a district of Dresden ) is a German journalist .

biography

After an apprenticeship as a locksmith, Eggert completed a pedagogy course in German and history , and later media studies . From 1979 to 1983 he was editor-in-chief of the Junge Generation and the student newspaper Forum and then from 1983 to 1986 deputy editor-in-chief of Junge Welt . From 1986 Eggert worked for the Berliner Zeitung . In the course of the peaceful revolution in the GDR , he was appointed editor-in-chief of the Berliner Zeitung on November 23, 1989 as successor to Dieter Kerschek , which he remained until 1996. From 2002 to 2007 he was editor-in-chief of the Sächsische Zeitung , for which he worked until 2011.

Hans Eggert lives in Berlin and has two daughters.
