Hans Günter Huniar

Hans Günter Huniar (born August 25, 1949 in Gangkofen ) is a former German judge and local politician (non-party).

Life

Huniar grew up in Lower Bavaria for ten years and then in Munich . After graduating from high school , he studied law and was then a councilor in the Bavarian State Ministry of Justice . In 1980 he became a public prosecutor in Ingolstadt , 1982 judge for criminal matters at the district court of Neuburg an der Donau and then an employee at the Federal Constitutional Court . In the local elections in March 1984 he narrowly won against the CSU applicant and from May 1, 1984 was Lord Mayor of the city of Neuburg an der Donau . In 1990 and 1996 he was confirmed in office. In the local elections in 2002 he was defeated by Bernhard Gmehling and then worked as a lawyer .

For the Free Voters Neuburg-Schrobenhausen, Huniar is a member of the district council of the Neuburg-Schrobenhausen district until April 30, 2020 ; he was no longer a candidate for the 2020-2026 term.

Huniar is married and has two grown children.
