Hans Georg from the Winckel

Johann (Hans) Georg from the Winckel (* 1671 ; † July 18, 1729 in Benndorf ) was an Electoral Saxon lieutenant general of the cavalry , heir, liege and court lord of Baumersroda , Benndorf and Körbisdorf.

Life

He comes from the Thuringian noble family Aus dem Winckel . He was married in second marriage to Catharina Elisabeth geb. from Lüttichau from Kmehlen (1679–1725). The marriage took place on August 25, 1704 in Kmehlen.

In 1699, Hans Georg from the Winckel became captain of the cuirassiers of Count Trautmannsdorff. In 1700 he was promoted to major and in 1705 to colonel . As such, he was the commander of a dragoon regiment until 1706. The following year he took over the Gersdorff cuirassier regiment. In 1714 he was dismissed as major general , most recently he referred to himself as lieutenant general.

By buying it on April 20, 1704, it came into the possession of the Baumersroda manor , which he had acquired from Hans Moritz von Brühl . He was also in possession of the so-called Schaurothsche Gut in Gleina . In addition, as major general on April 30, 1718, he had bought George Dietrich von Schönberg's two manors, Benndorf and Körbisdorf. He died childless. A few days before his death, on May 17, 1729, he made his will in Baumersroda.
