Hans Gerhard Kindermann (born September 7, 1916 in Hamburg ; † October 2, 2004 in Ochsenfurt ) was a German manufacturer .

Life

Hans Gerhard Kindermann, who was born in Hamburg, joined Kindermann GmbH , which was founded as a family company in Berlin in 1861 , after completing his Abitur , followed by a degree with a doctorate . There he was subsequently appointed managing partner of Kindermann & Co. GmbH in Ochsenfurt and Kindermann Electronic Services GmbH in Berlin.

In addition, Kindermann was one of the founding members of the German Photo Industry Association in Rüdesheim in 1948 . Kindermann, who developed the concept of Photokina , the world's leading trade fair for images, together with Messe Köln , chaired the Photo Industry Association from 1961 to 1980, after which he was made honorary chairman.

Hans Gerhard Kindermann has received numerous honors for his commitment to the photo industry, including in 1964 with the Golden Lens for Services to European Photography, in 1978 with the Bavarian Order of Merit , in 1981 with the Federal Cross of Merit 1st Class and with the high Japanese Order of the Holy Treasure , III. Class.
