life and work

Hans Hammerer was born in 1948 as the son of farmer Wilhelm Hammerer and his wife Rosa in the Bregenz Forest and grew up there as the oldest of eight children. He began his professional career as a trained baker. His family comes from four music groups, including his brothers who, as two brothers, have taken part in the Grand Prix of Folk Music several times . Hammerer himself and the Sulzberg village musicians won the 1969 International Folklore Festival in Senones , France .

After his apprenticeship and journeyman time as a baker, he became field service manager of the Engelburg brewery in Hohenems and then switched to the catering and hotel industry as a hotel clerk. In addition, he began training as a masseur and podiatrist as well as a health trainer.

In 1976, as an entrepreneur, he set up the spa and health center in Lingenau in the Bregenzerwald. The G´sund & Vital brand and its franchise concept, founded in 1997, was used in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and South Tyrol. With this project, Hans Hammerer was named Entrepreneur of the Year in Austria by Federal Chancellor Viktor Klima as well as the innovation prize in tourism . He also won the Vorarlberg Health Prize with the G'sund & Vital brand .

In the Austrian Federal Chamber of Commerce WKO, Hans Hammerer worked for many years as guild master of podiatrists, beauticians and masseurs in addition to other functions in the Vorarlberg Chamber of Commerce WKV.

Hammerer is currently active with his health education and prevention project as a speaker and board member of the German Society for Preventive Medicine and Prevention Management . He is also a member of the EU project Aktiv aging2012 and as a presenter of the Bregenzerwald cheese road .

Natural healing methods

As an altar boy, Hammerer received an insight into natural healing methods from the age of seven. From the age of 21 he deepened this knowledge with Harry Edwards and then with Tom Johanson. His role model in the field of natural healing methods is Sebastian Kneipp , whose natural healing method he further developed in the International Kneipp Confederation and in the Austrian Federal Kneipp Administration (1982–1992). He also practiced as a Kneipp health resort and was the Kneipp chairman of the Lingenau Kneipp association for 25 years.

He combined this method with therapeutic principles and adapted it to modern technology. It was presented by him at five successive CeBIT trade fairs in the Inventor's Hall. In 2005 he was called to Düsseldorf as a speaker at MEDICA to present the Health & Vitality concept.
