Hans Heinrich von Hessler

Hans Heinrich von Heßler (born November 11, 1648 in Klosterhäseler ; † April 16, 1717 ibid) was the Royal Polish and Electoral Saxon Major General and Tax Director of the Thuringian District , owner of the Schlöben, Klosterhäseler, Dechanei Bibra with the Vorwerk Pleismar and Gößnitz .

He was the son of Lieutenant Colonel Hans Heinrich von Heßler auf Klosterhäseler, Vitzenburg and Gößnitz from the Thuringian noble family Heßler and Ursula nee. von Nißmitz from the house of Nebra . His grandfather was Hans Heinrich von Heßler auf Kloster-, Burgheßler , Balgstädt , Schlöben, Rabis and Möckern, his grandmother Maria geb. von Witzleben from Wohlmirstedt .

In 1672 he decided to seek his fortune outside the country and went from Dresden to Brandenburg, where he became a cornet in the local army . He later went back to Electoral Saxony and rose to major general. As such, he acquired a manor in Gleina from Schlöben in 1704 for his stepson Ludwig Gottlieb Woldeck von Arneburg .

In 1709, after the childless death of his nephew Heinrich Moritz von Heßler (1687–1708), who was the stepson of Hannibal Germanus von Schmertzing , he received the manor Klosterhäseler, the Dechanei Bibra and the associated Vorwerk Pleismar.

His first marriage was to Johanna Maria von Zehmen and his second marriage to Sabina Margaretha von Metzsch , leaving behind the following children:
