Wohlmirstedt is a district of the Kaiserpfalz municipality in the Burgenland district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

Wohlmirstedt lies on the edge of the Finn between Erfurt and Halle (Saale) at 42 meters above sea level. NN.

Districts of the former community of Wohlmirstedt were Zeisdorf (until 1815 proportionately to the Wendelstein office ) and Allerstedt .

history

Wohlmirstedt was first mentioned in a document in 786 as Wolmerstede . In 998, the town became the property of the Memleben monastery . In the 13th century a knightly family of the same name " von Wohlmirstedt " is proven. Other owners of the place were the Counts of Keverenburg , the Counts of Rabenswalde and the Counts of Orlamünde . From 1355 to 1803 the von Witzleben and from 1803 to 1935 the von Helldorff owned the local manor.

On July 1, 1950, the previously independent communities of Allerstedt and Zeisdorf were incorporated. On July 1, 2009, Wohlmirstedt was incorporated into the new Kaiserpfalz community . The last mayor was Uwe Reiche.

politics

The last municipal council elected in the local elections on June 13, 2004 consisted of nine members of a group of voters and one member of the SPD .
