Hans Jürgen Kalder

Hans Jürgen Kalder (born March 7, 1945 in Detmold ) is a German chemist and officer ( Colonel a. D.). For many years he was the commander of the NBC and self-protection school in Sonthofen and general of the NBC defense force .

Life

Kalder studied chemistry ( diploma ), worked at the Inorganic-Chemical Laboratory from 1973 to 1976 and received his doctorate in 1976 from the 1973 Nobel Prize winner Ernst Otto Fischer , Professor of Inorganic Chemistry , at the Department of Chemistry, Biology and Geosciences at the Technical University of Munich Preparative, spectroscopic investigations on carbene, allenylidene and carbine complexes of chromium and tungsten for the Dr. rer. nat. PhD.

After that, the doctor of chemistry, joined the NBC defense troops of the Army of the Bundeswehr one. As a major , he was company commander in the NBC defense battalion 310 in Zweibrücken from 1976 to 1980 . From 1981 to 1987 the lieutenant colonel was the commander of the NBC defense battalion 730 in Düsseldorf and from 1987 to 1989 of the NBC defense battalion 110 in Emden. After that he was head of the NBC defense unit. As a colonel, he was the last stage manager of the NBC defense force and NBC defense of all troops in the Army Office (HA) in Cologne in 1993/94 . From 1994 to 2005 he was - so far the longest - school commander of the NBC and self-protection school in Sonthofen, later also the location elder , and from 1995 at the same time general of the NBC defense force. During his service he was involved in fighting the Whitsun floods in 1999 , invited the Federal Defense Minister Peter Struck ( SPD ) to Sonthofen in 2003 and organized several events for social purposes. Colonel Kalder retired in 2005.

He has published in scientific (including Journal of Organometallic Chemistry and Angewandte Chemie ) and military journals (including NATO's Nations & Partners for Peace and Defense Technology ).
