Hans Jucker (moderator)
Hans Jucker (* 11. January 1946 in Zurich , † 19th February 2011 in Affoltern am Albis ) was a Swiss TV - sports reporter and TV presenter . He became known through his comments on Swiss television .
Life
Jucker grew up in the Albisbrunn district of the municipality of Hausen am Albis . His parents worked there in the Albisbrunn Foundation for difficult-to-educate young people. In 1964, Jucker in Aeugst am Albis was elected the youngest community clerk in Switzerland. Since he was not yet of legal age , the documents had to be signed by his father. Jucker was also president of the Yes to N4 association and supported the building of the A4 motorway by the Säuliamt .
He had his first television appearance in March 1965 when he commented on the Björnstad memorial run at Gantrisch . Until his retirement at the end of January 2011, he commented as an all-rounder on almost all sports for Swiss television , mainly events in cycling , riding , boxing , and in the 1980s and 1990s also in alpine skiing . He reported on 13 Olympic Games and 25 editions of the Tour de France . In total, he commented live for over 10,000 hours.
Jucker was between 1982 and 1998 for the FDP in the local council in his residential community Affoltern am Albis and he was responsible for the police department. He also ran the Arche pub in the village . For 14 years he was a football referee in his spare time. For several decades he shaped and shaped the club work of FC Affoltern am Albis. In 1976 he was made an honorary member and in 2007 honorary president of the club due to his great services.
