Hans Karl Abel
Hans Karl Abel (born August 8, 1876 in Bärenthal , Lorraine district , † March 10, 1951 in Muhlbach-sur-Munster ) was a German writer .
Life
The son of a farmer and district forester, who comes from Alsace , processed in his books not only his own experiences but also the description of the landscapes of southern Germany such as the Swabian Forest .
After his debut , the play D´Waldmühl - En-alsassisch Volksstück in 3 Akt (1901), written together with René Prévot , The silver bells of the Ilienkopf (1913), What was mine once was (1916, 5th edition 1927), Nach Mariä Candlemas (1918), Ruf in der Nacht (1918), Die Melker im Taauben Klang (1918) and the autobiographical letter from an Alsatian farm boy from the World War to a friend 1914–1918 (1922, 2nd edition 1941), in which he wrote his described his own experiences during the First World War .
His other publications include Am Römerwall (1925), Die Forellen (1927), Reise-Humor (1929), Sporthumor (1929), Veit's Rise and Love (1931), Love and Doom (1934), Der Schwäbische Wald (1938) , Thu laughs with Alsace (1941), Morgensonne im Herbst (1942) and Der Heimat Lullaby (1942).
