Hans Kestranek

Hans Kestranek (born March 8, 1873 in Prerau , Moravia , † April 8, 1949 in Sankt Gilgen ) was an Austrian painter , architect and philosopher .

One of the first interpretations of Ludwig Wittgenstein's tractatus logico-philosophicus came from the versatile and active intellectual belonging to the upper-class Herz-Kestranek family . His estate in the Brenner archive contains, among other things, pieces of correspondence with Ludwig von Ficker , Augusto Giacometti , Ida and Eugen Herz , Wilhelm Kestranek , Jože Plečnik and Karl Wittgenstein .
