Ludwig von Ficker
Ludwig (von) Ficker (1885-1919 Ludwig Ritter Ficker von Feldhaus ; born April 13, 1880 in Munich , † March 20, 1967 in Innsbruck ) was a writer and publisher.
Life
Ludwig von Ficker was the son of the German - Austrian historian Julius von Ficker , who was ennobled in 1885, and the brother of Marie Dopsch (née von Ficker), Cenzi , Rudolf and Heinrich von Ficker . In 1908 he married Cäcilie (Cissi) Molander (1875–1960) from Sweden and settled in Mühlau near Innsbruck. In 1910 he founded the cultural magazine Der Brenner . As a writer he became with the dramas Sündenkinder (1900), Und Friede den Menschen! A Christmas tragedy (1901) and the collection of poems Inbrunst des Sturms (1904). Ficker promoted and published the work of his friend Georg Trakl , he also had literary relationships with Karl Kraus .
In 1960 he received an honorary doctorate from the Free University of Berlin and in 1966 the Austrian Decoration of Honor for Science and Art .
He is buried at the Mühlau cemetery in Innsbruck, where Georg Trakl's grave has also been located since 1925 .
