Hans Krämer played as a goalkeeper for Hannover 96 in the major league in the 1940s and 1950s in 216 point games. He came to Hanover from SV Schwarmstedt in 1947. In September of the same year he made his debut in the Reds' league team. Since 1951 , Krämer , who works for the Continental tire works in Vahrenwald, has been the goalkeeper of the Reds. He played a total of 224 competitive games for Hannover 96.

In the 1956/1957 season he was temporarily ousted by Karl Köstler under the coach Helmut Kronsbein last year and only made 16 missions. In the 1957/1958 season he was again a regular goalkeeper and was used in 24 league games that season and in 16 games in the 1958/1959 season under coach Fritz Silken . On January 7, 1959, Krämer was also used in the Hanover trade fair cup game at AS Roma , with a 1-1 draw. It was Krämer's only assignment in the trade fair cup. After a break due to injury in 1959, he moved to the Phönix Lübeck . There he was used in 28 league games. He moved to Hamburger SV after just one year . There he was in the HSV squad from 1960 to 1965, but did not get beyond a reserve role alongside Horst Schnoor and was only used in 12 league games and five Bundesliga games as well as once in the European Cup of National Champions 1960/61 .

The greatest success in his career as a footballer for Hans Krämer was the surprising win of the German championship in 1954 with Hannover 96. He was one of the regular players of the outsider and was accordingly in the final of the German championship in the Hanover goal on May 23, 1954 in Hamburg . Hannover 96 sensationally defeated the high favorites 1. FC Kaiserslautern 5-1. In addition to striker Fritz Walter, four other national players played for Kaiserslautern who were to create the miracle of Bern a few weeks later .

Like all players in the 1954 championship team, Hans Krämer himself was never called to the German national team. However, he played several times for Northern Germany . In the Oberliga Nord he was the only footballer ever to play in the first (1947/48) and last season (1962/63).
