Hans Krauss (soccer player, 1903)

Hans Krauss (born May 25, 1903 in Fürth ; † December 24, 1981 ), also called "Urbel", was a German football player and coach. Together with his brother Konrad , he was twice German champion .

Player career

The defender joined the SpVgg Fürth in 1916 and moved to the Stuttgarter Kickers in 1922 . Two years later he returned to SpVgg Fürth. In 1926 he became German champions for the first time with the Fürthers . Three years later he won the championship again with SpVgg as a player-coach . From 1932 to 1934 he played for 1. FC Nürnberg before returning to SpVgg Fürth. There he was again active as a player-coach and ended his playing career in 1937.

Coaching career

In the 1937/38 season he coached VfB Ingolstadt-Ringsee . From 1938 to 1940 he was a coach at FSV Nürnberg . After taking over the coaching post at SpVgg Fürth for six months in December 1947, he trained in Bayern Kitzingen in the 1948/49 season . Between 1949 and 1950 he was again the coach of VfB Ingolstadt-Ringsee before he took over this position at SSV Jahn Regensburg . In 1951 he trained first with VfB Eichstätt and later with 1. FC Lichtenfels before returning to SpVgg Fürth in 1952.
