Hans Leopold

Hans Leopold (born March 5, 1886 in Berent , West Prussia , † after 1945) was a German judge .

Life

Leopold was the son of a government and tax council. In 1904 he passed the Abitur at the municipal high school in Gdansk and studied law at the universities of Marburg , Berlin , Munich and Königsberg . He passed the first state law examination in 1907 and the second in 1912, each with the grade of "good". On June 1, 1914, he became a local judge in Ueckermünde . During the First World War he was a lieutenant in the reserve. On March 31, 1921, Leopold was given leave of absence from the Danzig judicial service and on September 16, 1921 he was accepted into the Danzig civil service as a district judge . He was appointed senior judge in Marienwerder in 1928. With the introduction of the Prussian civil service penalty order in 1932, he was appointed judge assessor in a criminal service chamber. On July 1, 1936, he became a member of the Chamber Court . He came to the Reichsgericht as an assistant judge on September 16, 1939. His appointment to the Reichsgerichtsrat took place on April 1, 1941. He was first a member of the 4th , then the 5th civil senate . In 1945 he was in the III. Civil Senate .
