Hans Piesbergen (* 1965 in Stuttgart ) is an Austrian actor .

Life

Hans Piesbergen grew up in Vienna / Austria from 1967 and has lived in Germany again since 1990 . He played at various stages in Vienna ( Volkstheater , Theater in der Josefstadt , Schauspielhaus , Theater Der Kreis , Beinhardt-Ensemble , Rabenhof Theater ), was a member of the ensemble at the Bavarian State Theater in Munich, at the Braunschweig State Theater , etc. a. He has made guest appearances at the Schauspiel Frankfurt , the Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf , the Schauspiel Bonn, the Schlosspark Theater Berlin and has toured several times.

He has worked with the directors George Tabori , Robert Lepage , Barrie Kosky , Leander Haussmann , Steven Berkoff , Gavin Quinn and Silvia Armbruster, among others .

From 2003 to 2005 he was Scar in Disney's The Lion King in Hamburg, then King Ludwig XIII. in the musical Three Musketeers in the Theater des Westens , Berlin.

From 2005 to 2012 he worked with Robert Lepage and his Theater Ex Machina, Quebec, on the multilingual theater epic Lipsynch and made guest appearances with this production at festivals worldwide (London, New York, Toronto, Montreal, Sydney, Melbourne, Moscow, Madrid, Naples, Vienna and Taipei).

He played many times on German-language television such as Tatort , Derrick , Der letzte Zeuge , SOKO Vienna, SOKO Leipzig and made international movies (including bandaged ).

The Canadian film Triptyque by directors Robert Lepage and Pedro Pires, in which he played the male lead, premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in autumn 2013, was then shown at the film festivals in Montreal and Santa Barbara (California) and had its European premiere at the Berlinale 2014.

Hans Piesbergen contributed to the following audio books: The Cause (Thomas Bernhard), The Portrait of Dorian Gray (Oscar Wilde), Elective Affinities (Goethe).
