Hans Richnow ( bl. 1930s ) was a German motorcycle racing driver .

Career

The Berliner Hans Richnow acquired the German motorcycle sport in the 1930s through his performances with the hum Rudge celebrity. The motorcycle, an English 350 cm³ Rudge , was modified by the Berlin Rudge representative Friedrich Brumm so that it ran faster than the manufacturer's machines . So she received among others, a cylinder made of aluminum , another crankshaft and a modified bore - stroke ratio.

Richnow had his most successful season in 1933, when he won the 350 runs with the Brumm-Rudge at Rund um Schotten on the Schottenring , at the Hockenheim motorcycle race at the Hockenheimer Dreieck and at the Schleizer Dreieckrennen , thus securing the title in the German road championship .

In 1935 he won the 350 AVUS race and the Swedish Grand Prix held in Saxtorp . In 1939 Richnow won again in Schleiz and was sixth in the 350 race at the Swedish Grand Prix, which was part of the 1939 European Championship .

After the Second World War , Hans Richnow returned to racing with the Brumm-Rudge. However, the post-war version of the machine was no longer competitive.
