Hans Rieser

Hans Rieser (born June 23, 1934 in Hippach , Tyrol ) is an Austrian sculptor .

After an apprenticeship as a sculptor with Otto Moroder in Mayrhofen in the Zillertal (1955–1958), he studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and in Munich from 1960 with a diploma. Since 1965 he has been working as a freelance sculptor and draftsman in Germany and Austria.

Rieser has lived and worked in Lower Bavaria since 1965 . At first he lived in Straubing , which is also where his studio is, lived in Mitterfels for a few years and has lived in Straubing again for many years.

The Tyrolean art cadastre lists seven works by the artist in public spaces in the towns of Brandberg , Kaltenbach , Schwendau , Stumm and Uderns .
