Hans Roth (entrepreneur, 1946)

Hans Roth (actually Johann Roth , born October 2, 1946 in Feldbach ) is an Austrian entrepreneur and chairman of the supervisory board of Saubermacher Dienstleistungs AG .

Life

Hans Roth was born as the eldest child of Hans Roth and his wife Maria in Feldbach. He has five siblings. After completing his school education with the commercial school, he began his three-year training as a retail salesman in a department store in Passail . He then joined his parents' company and was involved in setting up Roth Handels- und Bauhandwerks GmbH , Interro Handels GmbH and Roth Heizöle GmbH (now part of the Roth group of companies ).

In 1979 he founded - together with his wife Margret Roth (née Watzl) - Roth Environmental Protection GmbH, from which the Saubermacher Dienstleistungs AG later emerged. Until the beginning of 2012 he was the company's board member and company spokesman; since February 2012 he has held the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

As chairman of the specialist group for waste and wastewater management of the Styrian Chamber of Commerce , Roth was involved in the development of waste management in Austria during his ten-year term until 2009 and as a co-initiator in the establishment of the Association of Austrian Waste Management Companies (VÖEB) , where he has been president since May 2014 . Roth is also the chairman of the “Steirer help Mariazell” initiative he launched and patron of the Styrian Business Club of the Wirtschaftsblatt.

Private

Roth has been married since 1972 and has three children. He is an art collector and, together with his wife, a sponsor of many social and artistic projects. In addition to his current residence in Graz, the center of his life is his hometown Gnas .
