Hans Schluetter

Hans Schlütter (born January 20, 1913 in Helderloh ; † December 5, 2003 in Meerbusch ) was a German agricultural scientist , administrative officer and politician .

Life and work

Schlütter studied from 1934 to 1937 and from 1950 to 1951 agricultural sciences at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn . He joined the Rhineland Chamber of Agriculture and was director of the teaching and research institute for poultry farming and small animal breeding in Krefeld-Großhüttenhof from 1951 to 1956 . In 1953 he was promoted to Dr. agr. PhD. In 1955 he received a teaching position as an associate professor at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn.

From 1956 to 1962, Schlütter was head of the animal breeding department in the Düsseldorf Ministry of Agriculture as Ministerialrat and from 1962 to 1965 director of the Rhineland Chamber of Agriculture. From 1967 to 1983 he was President of the Central Association of the German Poultry Industry (ZDG) and from 1974 to 1983 as President of the German part of the World's Poultry Science Association (WPSA). He then became honorary president of both organizations.

Hans Schlütter was married to Eugenie Schulte in the court and had two sons. He was a member of the KDB Rheno-Guestphalia zu Bonn in the RKDB .

Schlütter served from January 15, 1965 to February 28, 1967 as State Secretary in the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Forests of North Rhine-Westphalia .
