Hans von Dieskau

Hans von Dieskau , at the time mostly Hannß von Dießkau , (* 1702 ; † July 2, 1750 in Zschepplin ) was a royal Polish and electoral Saxon chamberlain , knight of the Order of St. John and owner of the manor . He owned the Zschepplin estate.

Life

He came from the Saxon noble family von Dieskau and was the son of the Privy Councilor Geissler von Dieskau and his wife Erdmuthe Dorothea nee. von Ende (1668–1753). After the death of his father, he and his brother Friedrich von Dieskau received the paternal manor Zschepplin when they were fraternally divided in 1720. After his brother Friedrich lost his life near Parma in 1734 , Hans von Dieskau was the sole owner of the Zschepplin manor.

In 1739, Hans von Dieskau married Eva Charlotta Dorothea (1714–1757), daughter of Count Adam Friedrich von Flemming . The only daughter Erdmuthe Henriette Friedericke von Dieskau emerged from this marriage.

On his 48th birthday in 1750, his cook had tin coins minted in the size of thalers, alluding to a hatching process by the local farmers, which today have an extraordinarily high collector's value. Hans von Dieskau died shortly afterwards.
