Zschepplin is a municipality in the district of North Saxony , Free State of Saxony . It belongs to the administrative association Eilenburg-West .
Geography and traffic
The community of Zschepplin is about six kilometers north of Eilenburg and seven kilometers southwest of Bad Düben . The B 107 and the B 2 (in the north-west) run through the municipality. The east of the municipality is bounded by the Mulde valley . In the Hohenprießnitz district , a ferry crosses the river to Gruna .
The station combing forest , in the district Naundorf located, is situated on the railway line Halle Cottbus .

history
Zschepplin belonged to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Eilenburg until 1815 . By the resolutions of the Congress of Vienna , the place came to Prussia. In 1816 he was assigned to the Delitzsch district in the Merseburg administrative district of the province of Saxony , to which he belonged until 1952. Noitzsch has been a district of Zschepplin since the 19th century.
In the course of the second district reform in the GDR in 1952, Zschepplin was connected to the Eilenburg district in the Leipzig district , which was added to the Delitzsch district in 1994 . On January 1, 1999, the merger with four other municipalities took place to form the municipality of Zschepplin. With the 2008 district reform in the Free State of Saxony, Zschepplin came to the district of Northern Saxony.
Incorporations
Glaucha, Hohenprießnitz, Krippehna and Naundorf (with Rödgen and Steubeln) were incorporated into Zschepplin on January 1, 1999.

Since the municipal council election on May 28, 2019 , the 14 seats of the municipal council have been distributed among the individual groups as follows:

- Joint voters' association Zschepplin (GWZ): 9 seats
