Steubeln is a district of the municipality Zschepplin in the district of North Saxony in Saxony .
geography
Steubeln is located between the cities of Eilenburg and Bad Düben . The place is not on a classified road, but there are local connections to Zschepplin , Rödgen and Naundorf . Steubeln is due to a small tributary of the leash .
history
In terms of the type of settlement, Steubeln is a dead end village . Until 1815 it belonged to the Electoral Saxon or Royal Saxon Office of Eilenburg . By the resolutions of the Congress of Vienna , the place came to Prussia. In 1816 he was assigned to the Delitzsch district in the Merseburg administrative district of the province of Saxony , to which he belonged until 1952.
On July 1, 1950, the place was incorporated into Rödgen . In the course of the second district reform in the GDR in 1952, Rödgen and Steubeln became part of the Eilenburg district in the Leipzig district , which was added to the Delitzsch district in 1994 . In 1972 Rödgen was incorporated into Naundorf , making Steubeln a district of Naundorf. With the incorporation of Naundorfs into Zschepplin, Steubeln has been part of the municipality of Zschepplin since 1999.

The population of Steubeln was 63 in 1818. Until the outbreak of World War II , the population rose only slightly to 73, but in 1895 there were 91 inhabitants. After the end of the war, the population rose to more than 100 people. Since then, the number of inhabitants is likely to have decreased again.
