Geissler von Dieskau (Privy Councilor)

Geissler von Dieskau , currently mostly von Dießkau , (born January 28, 1654 in Knauthain , † May 26, 1718 in Leipzig ) was an Electoral Saxon- Polish civil servant. Until 1714 he was governor in Düben and at the same time chief tax collector. He later became a Privy Councilor and from 1714 district chief of the Leipzig district .

Life

He came from the Meissen noble family von Dieskau and was the son of the manor owner Carl von Dieskau on Zschepplin , Knauthain , Kleinzschocher , Lochau and Trebsen.

After his father's death, he took over the Zschepplin manor, which after his death fell to his son Hans , who was chamberlain at the court in Dresden and who died in 1750 without male heirs. His son of the same name, Geissler , became a district councilor.

Since 1688 he was born with Erdmuthe Dorothea. married von Ende (1668–1753). Their daughter Erdmuthe Sophie von Dieskau was Augustus the Strong's mistress from 1719 to 1721.
