Hansjacob Staemmler

Hansjacob Staemmler (* 1978 in Nordhausen ) is a German pianist and music teacher .

Hansjacob Staemmler studied with Georg Sava at the Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin , completed masterclasses with Daniel Barenboim and Menahem Pressler and was the winner of various competitions.

As a soloist, chamber musician and accompanist, he has given concerts in numerous European countries and in America. Among other things, he played in the Berlin Philharmonic , the Berlin State Opera , the Vienna Musikverein and at music festivals such as the Salzburg Festival and the Mozart Festival in Würzburg . He appears with well-known soloists and ensembles, including Božo Paradžik , Juris Teichmanis , Burkhard Glaetzner , Christian and Martin Ostertag, as well as members of the Berlin Philharmonic . Together with his brother, the cellist Peter-Philipp Staemmler , he forms the Duo Staemmler and won the prize of the German Music Competition with them in 2009 .

Staemmler also works closely with contemporary composers and played world premieres by Helmut Oehring , Sarah Nemtsov and Friedrich Schenker .

In addition to his concert activities , he initially worked for several years as an artistic assistant at the Berlin University of the Arts . Since 2009 he has been a lecturer at the Freiburg University of Music , has a teaching position for chamber music at the Karlsruhe University of Music and also works as a substitute professor at the Frankfurt University of Music .

Staemmler has released several CDs, and his concerts have also been recorded in various studio productions by radio ( Bayerischer Rundfunk , Deutschlandradio , Südwestrundfunk ).
