Hanstedt II is a district of the Hanseatic city of Uelzen in the Lower Saxony district of Uelzen . Hanstedt II also has a district, Gansau, which lies north of the municipality border with Rätzlingen. The Wappheus farm is located west of Gansau.
history
In the period from 3500 to 2800 BC Several large stone graves were created near Hanstedt II . These were destroyed in the 19th century.
On July 1, 1972, Hanstedt II was incorporated into the district town of Uelzen.
Geography and transport links
The place is east of the core area of Uelzen on the B 71 .
The Elbe Lateral Canal flows to the west .
The B 493 runs north, the B 191 runs north and west and the B 4 runs west. The new construction of the A 39 is planned to the west at the level of the Lüssberg; the Uelzen-Ost exit would be created at the intersection with the B 71 .
Buildings
The St. Christophorus Chapel is a brick chapel from the 15th century. It is furnished with a remarkable altarpiece from the 17th century.
