Riestedt is a district of the Hanseatic city of Uelzen in the Lower Saxony district of Uelzen .
Geography and transport links
The place is northeast of the core area of Uelzen.
The Wipperau , a right tributary of the Ilmenau, flows north .
The B 191 runs on the southern outskirts.
Buildings
The basic substance of the Marienkapelle in Riestedt originated in the 14th century. The brick chapel had a particularly valuable altarpiece at times , which is now kept in the Lower Saxony State Museum in Hanover.
